Boccia

Boccia is a fun, inclusive and accessible sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. Combining skill, strategy and friendly competition, it’s a fantastic way to stay active, meet new people and enjoy time together. Whether you’ve played before or are completely new to the game, everyone is welcome to join in.

About this activity

Boccia is a precision ball sport where players aim to throw or roll coloured balls as close as possible to a target ball, known as the jack. The game is easy to learn, making it suitable for complete beginners, while still offering plenty of challenge for those looking to improve their skills.

Our Boccia sessions provide a welcoming and relaxed environment where people with sight loss can enjoy gentle physical activity, social interaction and a bit of friendly competition. The focus is always on participation, enjoyment and building confidence, rather than winning.

Sessions are led by experienced staff and volunteers who are on hand to explain the rules, support new players and ensure everyone can take part.
