Gardening Group

Enjoy the benefits of fresh air, nature and gardening in a friendly, supportive environment. Our Gardening Group offers people with sight loss the opportunity to learn new skills, enjoy gentle physical activity and spend time with others while helping to create and care for beautiful outdoor spaces.

About this activity

Our Gardening Group is a relaxed and enjoyable activity where participants come together to explore all aspects of gardening, regardless of previous experience. From planting flowers and vegetables to seasonal garden maintenance and wildlife-friendly projects, there’s always something to get involved in.

Gardening offers many physical and mental wellbeing benefits, helping to reduce stress, improve confidence and provide a sense of achievement. Working alongside staff, volunteers and fellow participants, you’ll enjoy learning new techniques while making new friends in a welcoming environment.

Whether you have years of gardening experience or have never picked up a trowel before, everyone is encouraged to take part at their own pace.
