At Galloways, we are a dedicated charity for the blind and visually impaired.
Our mission is to reach more people, bringing connection, choice, and confidence to everyone affected by sight loss.
We offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of our community. Our team provides practical help and emotional sight loss support, assisting people in navigating the challenges associated with a visual impairment.
We employ 36 team members, many of whom have lived experience of sight loss, providing a deep understanding of the journey ahead. This unique perspective, combined with the empathy and insight shared by all our staff, ensures exceptional support. Our dedicated charity for the blind and visually impaired is supported by 285 dedicated volunteers, meaning we are proud to be one of the largest sight loss communities in the UK.
Our services include technology assistance, wellbeing support, and various social activities. We also run projects designed to create a sense of community and belonging. By focusing on empowerment and independence, we enable those with sight loss to lead active and fulfilling lives.
