Sight Loss Support Lancashire | Galloways Receives Support from People’s Postcode Lottery
Every day, we meet people who are adjusting to life with sight loss and need sight loss support in Lancashire — often facing uncertainty, isolation and a loss of confidence.
At Galloways, we’re here to change that.
We’re incredibly grateful to People’s Postcode Lottery for their generous support in choosing Galloways as one of their supported charities, and to the players across the country who make this funding possible.
Iain Pearson, CEO of Galloways, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Postcode Lottery players across the country who are helping charities like ourselves.”
Across Lancashire and Sefton, more than 57,000 people are living with sight loss — and this number is expected to grow as our population ages. As demand continues to rise, the need for sight loss support in Lancashire has never been greater.
Through practical support, wellbeing services and social opportunities, we help people with sight loss to live independently, build confidence and stay connected — ensuring no one has to face sight loss alone.
Our work continues thanks to funding raised by players, including through initiatives like the recent Millionaire Street draw in Clayton-le-Moors. You can read more about this here:

This funding comes at a crucial time. It will allow us to continue delivering vital services during challenging financial conditions, while also reaching more people who need us most.
We’re proud to be part of the People’s Postcode Lottery community and deeply thankful to everyone who plays. Your support is helping people with sight loss live well, regain confidence and feel part of their community every day.
