Putting the Super into Supermarkets!

Putting the Super into Supermarkets!

Sometimes creating a big impact starts with something surprisingly small – a collection tub, a few hours of space or simply saying “yes” to a local charity.

We’ve seen first-hand just how much supermarkets can make possible.

Working with Tesco Penwortham

Our relationship with Tesco, Penwortham is a great example. With the support of their Community Champion and the wider team, Galloways successfully secured a place in Tesco’s Blue Token scheme.

This will give children and young people with sight loss opportunities to grow vegetables, taste new foods and learn about healthy eating.

The store also recently gave our fundraiser Charlotte space to collect bottles for our Summer Festival. In two hours, shoppers donated an incredible 106 bottles!

And it doesn’t stop there

From Asda colleagues supporting a Galloways bag pack, to supermarkets giving Galloways space to stage fundraising challenges, including attempting to climb the equivalent height of Everest, businesses and their customers can achieve extraordinary things together.

Even something as simple as hosting a Galloways collection tub can provide another way for a community to get behind local sight loss support.

For supermarkets, these may feel like relatively small gestures. For Galloways, they create opportunities to raise funds, reach new people and increase awareness of sight loss.

That’s the power of putting the ‘super’ into supermarkets.
