Making Connections in Rural Lancashire

Making Connections in Rural Lancashire

The Lancashire Village Agent Service is a completely free and confidential service that provides early intervention and prevention for adults in rural areas of Lancashire.

Village Agents are local connectors who provide support and guidance. They help people find the right information and connect them to community-based solutions.

We support residents with low-level needs, helping them to remain independent and connected to their local community.

We currently cover rural West Lancs, Burscough, Croston, Rufford, Eccleston, Heskin, Charnock Richard, Heath Charnock, and Adlington & Anderton.

How the Lancashire Village Agent Service can help

Each Village Agent is local to the area they work and can help people access local social groups, wellbeing activities and support networks.

Our Village Agents take the time to really listen. They aim to understand each person’s situation, what they’re struggling with and what’s important to them.

The support provided can vary depending on what each person needs. This could include computer skills and support, guidance with benefits or introductions to local social and interest groups. It could even be something as simple as finding a local cleaner.
